It’s the mid-year school holidays here in Perth, and now that we’re home from our trip to Broome (ouch – major reality check!) it’s become all about keeping the kids amused!
I don’t have the stamina (or the funds!) to take them out every day, so we try to have a few home days thrown in here and there. Sometimes it’s just us and we might bake, or maybe do some craft or play a board game.
… well, slightly less! But we managed to cram almost six full days into our five nights at Cable Beach Club Resort. Not that we did a whole lot while we were there! Mostly we hung out by the pool. Us grown ups reclined on poolside lounges sipping the occasional cocktail, while the kids made the most of the facilities at the resort.

It’s been a while since my first word of the day, so I thought it was time to revisit this gem. I haven’t had any new flashes of vocabulary brilliance, but the word I’d like to share with you today is an old favourite of mine!
Word of the Day:
1. the sensation of moderate coolness, or state of being cool
2. the opposite of warmth
e.g. The evening coolth had begun to make shiver, so I decided to put on something warmer.
So there you have it. Jodi’s word of the day. Until next time, keep making up new words! The sillier, the better 😉
