It’s time to send out invitations for my little man’s party. I think his friends will get a kick out of these! Can’t wait for the big day!

Hey Jodi! I think I told you this before, but I really like your work. 🙂
I hope to pose this question to the broader #blogging201 audience as well, but how do you (or can you) ensure that no one steals your ideas and capitalizes on them? Luckily, I have not come across this problem too often, although there have been a couple of instances that made me question other bloggers’ motives. Since you are a creator of many things that you showcase on your blog, do you have concerns about this happening?

While I think most people can be trusted to do the right thing, I guess there will always be people who can’t. I’ve seen copyright statements on some peoples websites, but I don’t know how much use they would be. For my photos I’ve started putting a watermark with my blog name somewhere on the image. I guess if someone was a photo editing whizz though they could remove it somehow?!
When I have made something that I saw on someone else’s site, I mention their name and provide a link. Hopefully this is enough, and I haven’t ruffled anyones feathers in the process! 😀
Protecting your work would be a lot more difficult with the written word, which is the main component of your blog. I’m no expert on this topic, so it would be a good question to ask on the 201commons. I’ve been enjoying the tasks so far – have made many small tweaks on my blog!
