It’s zombie season!

I’m nearing party panic mode today. Not quite there yet, but it’s only a matter of days now until I realise how much I have to get done! Today all the kids were supposed to be back at school after two weeks of holidays, but my little man is still getting over his tummy bug. Thank goodness it didn’t hit him a few days later – that would NOT be a nice way to spend your birthday!

He’s curled up on the sofa right now watching our brand new purchase, the Frozen DVD. We’ve been counting down the days until it was available in Australia! I think I might be hearing that soundtrack a few more times over the coming days! Unforturnately my little man’s rendition of ‘Let it Go’ is about as good as his fathers would be! O_o

Anyway, back to the topic at hand! I’ve been busy designing and printing out decorations for the party. I thought I’d share with you the ones I’ve done so far. Every party needs a happy birthday sign, especially when it’s  your sixth birthday! And I thought I should remind the kids to keep the zombies away from their brains – just in case they’ve never met a zombie before!

I printed out the sneaky flying balloon zombie, glued two images together so you can see him from any angle, and on the day of the birthday I’ll tie them to red helium balloons with that angry face drawn on. There’ll be one for each of the kids to take home.

And the last decoration is a cardboard letter I got at a craft store. I’ve painted it green and added a few leaves – it can’t all be about the zombies now can it! I’ll probably stick this in amongst the desserts.

I’d better get back to making more decorations now. Stay tuned for more zombie madness…or hang in there until after the party when I start sharing some different stuff! 🙄
